Transforming Communities Through Education

Altruisity Foundation partnered with Legacy College to open doors for talented students from rural Kenya who deserve a real chance at higher education. In 2019 we helped build the College of Business and Social Entrepreneurship and fully funded the first class of 20 students. Their scholarships covered tuition, books, supplies, housing and meals. Without this support, these students would not have been able to attend college.

Every student completed the accredited three-year program and earned a degree in entrepreneurship. During their final year they researched, planned and built a business concept tailored to the needs of their home communities. Each student presented their plan to a panel of professional advisors for the opportunity to secure a seed funding loan. Those ventures are now taking root and shaping rural economies in meaningful ways.

The inaugural class graduated in December 2024. Today they are running their own businesses, working in private firms, banks, insurance agencies, and retail outlets with confidence and purpose.

About the College

The Legacy College School of Business and Entrepreneurship is ranked the top college in Kenya out of more than seven hundred institutions. Its program blends strong academics with real world experience and prepares students to take on roles that matter. Hands on learning, sharp critical thinking and practical problem solving define the student experience and create a training ground for future leaders in business and social enterprise.

Altruisity Foundation is proud to sponsor the second class of students who began their journey in 2025.
