Providing a Medical Lifeline in Rural Ecuador

In rural Ecuador, access to healthcare is a daunting challenge for many families. With contaminated water, widespread poverty, and limited medical facilities, many communities face a healthcare crisis. The Legacy+ Mobile Medical Brigade supported by Altruisity is transforming lives by delivering essential care directly to these remote areas.

Since 2024, 90 communities have received vital medical services, including vaccinations, anemia treatment, and dental care, while also benefiting from education campaigns and midwifery training.

  • 1,150 people have received medical care

  • 3,000 people have benefitted from health education

  • 5,000 students were provided with dental care

  • 101 schools received health and wellness training

This initiative continues to bring hope and health to Ecuador’s most vulnerable populations.

Fighting Pediatric Cancer with Research

Diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG) is one of the deadliest pediatric cancers, with no effective treatment options and a heartbreaking 5-year survival rate of less than 1%.

DIPG research is critically underfunded. That’s why Altruisty has pledged $500,000 over the next two years to support a Phase 1 clinical trial for FLAG-003 — a groundbreaking drug showing potent anti-tumor activity in preclinical studies. This trial, set to begin in early 2025, could bring new hope to families facing this devastating disease.

Transforming Communities Through Education

Altruisity Foundation partnered with Legacy College in 2019 to launch the College of Business and Social Entrepreneurship and fully fund its first class of 20 students from rural Kenya. Scholarships covered all expenses and opened doors for students who otherwise would not access college.

All graduates completed the accredited three year program, built a business plan, and pitched for seed funding. The inaugural class graduated in 2024 and now work in firms across Kenya or run their own ventures.

Ranked the top business college in the country, Legacy continues to grow with Altruisity now supporting the second class starting in 2025.
